Medispa trusts in airless tube from Neopac

Interview with Xavier Chirico, General Manager of MEDISPA, on the company’s new REMODELANT CORPS MEDICEUTICS® product.
Cornelia: Xavier, why did Medispa select Neopac to create the packaging?
Xavier: We were looking for airless tubes, NEOPAC submitted us with the barrier tubes which correspond to our needs.
Cornelia: So, what was the project’s timeline?
Xavier: It was actually the first project we did with NEOPAC. It started during LUXE PACK MONACO in November 2008 and it ended with the product launch in February 2010.
Cornelia: What were some of the other requirements Medispa had for the packaging and why?
Xavier: We wanted to minimize the risk of bacterial contamination as well as active degradation. We needed a packaging that is compatible with the “medical” positioning of our products. Tubes are perfect. Airless and Polyfoil® technology are high-tech.
Cornelia: Why was it important that the Medispa product (bulk) be protected by Polyfoil®?
Xavier: Our products have been developed with doctors, we are positioning the brand as “expert products”. Our products are to be prescribed by dermatologists as pre- and post-treatments, therefore we have formulated several ingredients at maximum concentration, some of them are air, moisture and light sensitive (e.g. vitamin C) so that we had to have a proper protection.
Cornelia: What was the most difficult requirement to get fulfilled?
Xavier: It took NEOPAC some time to be able to adapt the new airless pump system to its Polyfoil® tubes. We needed both small (50ml) and large (150ml) tubes and until February, we could only finalize the 150ml version.
Cornelia: How is your airless product currently selling on the market?
Xavier: We have had great feedback from the press after the product launch, several articles have been published. The product is progressively being ordered by the pharmacies we are working with, and some new ones have contacted us. Some customers prefer to buy directly from us via Internet through our online boutique, www.mediceutics.fr
