Airless Pack Association defines standards

Logo AirlessPackAssociationHave you heard about the Airless Pack Association (APA)?  If not, keep reading: we’re going to talk about the strategy and priorities of the association, which was created at the end of 2008 as an initiative by five of the world’s primary producers of airless systems.  Megaplast is one of them, and with Lucyna Silberstein, Megaplast’s General Director and the APA’s President, we’re right at the source of all relevant information.


Reason for the Association

The APA is set to promote airless designs widely in Europe, focusing on the strengths that make them increasingly popular among cosmetic, pharmaceutical or food manufacturers, in particular, airless design’s contribution to formulae preservation and the ability to dispense 100 percent of the product. › Continue reading

Getting started with Tubes that pump and post

Yes, it’s true: two packaging powerhouses (Neopac and Megaplast) have decided to take advantage of the new social media tools and are launching a blog based on a product.  It’s not going to be some boring, simulated-story marketing piece. What it WILL be is a very simple, straightforward and entertaining blog dedicated to a specific piece of airless packaging.

We think that innovative packaging needs a forum, in order to foster ongoing interaction with companies and customers. Our recently launched PolydoseTM airless tube definitely requires more explanation than traditional tubes. Consumers need to know how new advances in packaging benefit them and why they should buy products in better packaging. Companies, on the other hand, should be interested in getting better packaging for their products that will stand out of the crowd and contribute to reducing their impact on the environment, which means they need data on technical features, filling guidelines, application and decoration possibilities, compatibility tests, and more.
